Arrival and Tardy Policy
Students are expected to arrive at school on time each day. Classroom instruction begins promptly at 8:20 a.m. for Pre-K through first grade and at 8:35 a.m. for second through fifth grade.
When a student is Tardy: A student is considered tardy if they are not in their classroom by the second bell, which rings at 8:20 a.m. for Pre-K through 1st grade and 8:35 a.m. for 2nd through 5th grade. The official tardy bell for the school rings at 8:35 a.m., and children not in their classroom at this time must be marked tardy.
Early Dismissal Policy
For the safety of students and in accordance with district policy, the school enforces a strict early dismissal cutoff time. Students cannot be dismissed within the last 30 minutes of the school day.
The specific cutoff times are as follows:
• Pre-K through 1st Grade: Students will not be dismissed after 1:20 p.m.. Regular dismissal for these grades is at 1:50 p.m.
• 2nd through 5th Grade: Students will not be dismissed after 2:35 p.m.. Regular dismissal for these grades is at 3:05 p.m.
Procedure for Early Pick Up
When picking up a child early from school, parents and visitors must follow these steps:
1. Sign In: All visitors must sign in through the RAPTOR system with identification and receive an identification badge.
Report to the Main Office: Parents will be escorted directly to the main office (visitor pass must be always displayed.
3. Student Call Down: The office staff will call the students’ classroom via the PA system, and the student will report directly to the main office
